About Us

Vision

   We envision Filipinos, especially the economically challenged, empowered by information and knowledge anywhere, anytime, enabling them to participate productively in the socio-economic, political and cultural life of a knowledge based society.
 

Mission

  

We commit ourselves to:

  • To provide access to information and communication technologies to public schools, rural communities and NGO’s

  • To create and sustain opportunities for human capacity building on how to maximize effectively the potentials of ICT in education and to enhance the quality of life of rural communities and other marginalized sectors of society.

  • To initiate and support research and development efforts on crafting strategies and sustainable models on how economically challenged communities / sectors of society can effectively use ICT to improve their quality of life.

  • To network and partner with other private corporations, NGO’s, government organizations, and funding agencies to develop and implement sustainable projects to bridge the digital divide.

President

   Learn.ph is led by Jose Marie B. Legaspi.  He has a Graduate Degree in Instructional Design and Media from the Columbia University Teachers College in New York and a Bachelor of Science in Education degree in Physics from the Don Bosco Seminary College in Canlubang. 

In 1990, he was Principal of Don Bosco Technical Institute in Makati city and he was the lead technical director of its ICT curriculum and development.  At that time, ICT was still a highly technical subject taken up in colleges.  He became the ICT consultant for Funds Assistance for Private Education (FAPE) where he took on the job of devising a five-year ICT strategy for the organization.  During his graduate studies at Columbia, he was the Online Manager of the E-Learning Project of the Teachers College and an IT Consultant for the Center for Technology and School Change.
